Kathi Winter, president of Global Incentives, Inc.

Kathi Winter, a 1968 graduate of UCLA, has spent most of her life traveling or working in the travel industry. After graduation, she traveled around the world 72 times for World Airways.  Later, she was the airline’s first female sales representative. 

Kathi founded the first successful public group-charter travel company in the western United States, and followed this with the formation of an educational organization specializing in orienting corporate executives to corporate operations in foreign countries. Over a ten-year period, she arranged educational exchanges to China for more than 6,000 people.  Her work cleared paths for U.S. business executives to explore trade with China. 

In 1986, Kathi formed Global Incentives, Inc. to provide  the full spectrum of planning and implementation services for meeting and incentive users from all market segments. 

In 1994, through the Society of Incentive Travel Executives (SITE), Kathi was designated a Certified Incentive Travel Executive (CITE), the hallmark certification of incentive travel professional competence. 

As a worldwide presenter in the incentive travel field, Global’s president  has served on the faculty of the international SITE University, which boasts a 36-country membership. 

With a heart for giving back to the global community, she heads her SITE chapter’s charity committee.
